Volunteer at the Alban

The Alban is always looking for volunteers to help do things around the theater.

We need volunteers:

  • to help set up and tear down decor for events
  • clean, mop and vacuum
  • to help build stage scenes
  • create costumes
  • sell advertising for our playbills
  • help backstage during shows

Arti Gras, Art Around Town is an exciting new event that showcases the thriving art and music scene as well as the unique local businesses in St. Albans.  Arti Gras grew from the suggestions of William Gambill, a St. Albans resident and the various ideas gathered from What’s Next St. Albans, a local chapter of the What’s Next WV movement.  WNWV is a series of discussions meant to answer “What’s Next?” for our State. During the St. Albans discussions residents asked for more events to showcase the city’s Outdoor Fun, Artistic Flair, and Hometown Charm.

This free event is brought to you by The City of St. Albans and The St. Albans Area Chamber of Commerce. The first Arti Gras will take place on September 10, 2015 from 5 pm to 8 pm with a Street Party featuring Qiet immediately following at 8pm on Olde Main. Businesses will be opening their doors and letting the art flow in!  Fun for the whole family, there will be activities, music, art and more including Trolley rides around town.

The Alban Arts Center is very pleased to announce our newest theatrical partnership with the Southern Coalition for the Arts. Their production of Godspell received rave reviews in Logan, WV and we are thrilled to be bringing them to St. Albans!
