The Deadhead Film Festival returns for its second annual celebration of independent horror cinema on Saturday, October 3, 2026, taking over St. Albans for a full day of screenings, horror icons, and community festivities. Judges have selected 11 outstanding short horror films from emerging and independent genre filmmakers. Screenings will run throughout the day inside the Alban Arts Center, organized into curated screening blocks showcasing exceptional filmmaking.
Event Details:
☠ Main Street Block Party & Vendor Market: Main Street will be completely shut down to traffic and transformed into an outdoor festival street fair packed with local art, seasonal vendors, craft makers, and local food options.
☠ Celebrity Meet & Greets: Genre icons Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) and Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead) will host autograph signings and photo opportunities next door to the theater at 63 Main Events.
☠ Film Screenings & Q&A: Enjoy 11 short horror film selections on the big screen at the Alban Arts Center, culminating in an awards presentation honoring top category winners and an exclusive live Q&A session with Bill Moseley and Ken Foree.
Presented by The Deadhead Productions Film Festival Foundation, the festival brings together filmmakers, horror fans, students, and regional artists to celebrate independent cinema and genre culture in West Virginia.
