The Alban has 200 fixed seats in the theater. With Folding chairs we can seat about 225 however.
We rent the Alban often for a variety of events from concerts to birthday parties, weddings and conferences. We rent both buildings hourly or by the day. You can find more info on our Rentals page.
Doors open 30 minutes before the show starts typically. This may change for non Alban Produced events, but generally 30 minutes before showtime is when our box office will open.
We hold two semesters of Alban Arts Academy every year. One in the Spring and one in the Fall. We also offer workshops throughout the year and offer a week long Summer Camp as well.
All of our actors and technical staff are local. We do however draw some of our talent from as far away as Beckley, and southern Ohio.
We often accept costume donations, but our primary needs are vintage clothing or certain specialty items. We ask that you call and chat with us about what you are interested in donating before you bring it. Lots of clothing items would be better needed at a thrift store or other local charity.
Ticketing
We do not offer refunds on tickets but we can easily exchange your ticket for another show, providing you let us know before the show for your purchased ticket happens.

Tickets go on sale as soon as we schedule as show and secure the rights for the production, or as soon as the deposit has been paid for the production if it is a rental and not an Alban Produced event.
All tickets will be sent to your email so they are easy to find in the future. If for some reason your ticket email gets deleted or lost we can always resend them to you or look them up at the box office when you arrive for the show.
Alban Arts Academy questions
We offer acting classes for students as young as 3 years old. The majority of our other classes however are geared towards students 1st grade and higher. Some of our technical classes require students to be a bit older than that as well.
Each semester lasts 12 weeks, and ends with a showcase of each classes work that semester.
All of our Alban Arts Academy classes are held at our Academy building at 2121 Kanawha Terrace, directly across the street from St. Albans High School.
